Master Jay of Run-D.M.C, was murdered in October 30, 2002 He was gunned down inside a recording studio in Jamaica and died of a gunshot wound to the head. It isn't clear who murdered this icon but Ronald "Tenad" Washington was named as an accomplice in 2007.
Jason William Mizell, A.K.A Jam-Master Jay, was shot and killed in a recording studio on Merrick Boulevard in Queens on October 30, 2002. The shooter has yet to be identified, and the case remains unsolved.
According to sources and witness he was shot in the head at a New York City recording studio. Sources say Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff was the main suspect in the shooting.
