Parvo is a disease commonly seen in canines. It is not a spirochete, however, but a virus. It is usually fatal, even when caught early and treated by a veterinarian. That is why vaccinating for Parvovirus is extremely important. Most puppies need a series of 3 vaccines for this, started at 6-8 weeks old, given at 3-4 week intervals.
