How can you teach the value of discipline?

Discipline can be a learning experience. Ask him/her to tell you what he/she did and why he/she needs discipline. Ask him/her how the other person feels. Ask the child why he/she thinks it's wrong. Tell him/her the discipline to be used and how you hate it like she/he does.

Morals and values are also important. Instilling a strong work ethic in your children is crucial to them having a good career and financial stability later in life.

Karate is great for teaching self-discipline. It helped my sister do better in school and focus her energy and it is currently helping my boyfriend focus on where his life is heading. It teaches lessons that last a lifetime.

"Good" morals are impossible to define, but you can teach them Your values through leading by example. The way kids really learn is by watching what the people around them do. Obedience can be taught by repetition and simple reward/punishment, but real discipline will happen when they learn self-discipline by watching you handle yourself well.
