How can you compare the intelligence of rats to of humans?

Their ability to reason and solve problems. While rats aren't always as intelligent in all areas they can solve problems with reasoning similar to humans. If there is an object blocking the rat from its food you can teach it to open, climb or pull switches to access the cheese. Although certain parts of their brain don't work the same.

The capacity of intelligence of rats is very low compared to that of man. This one becomes evident where a man kills a rat through a trap.
