Rats teeth grow fairly quickly and therefore require things to chew on as in: Wood chew toys, and other toys specifically made for rats to chew on.

rats are monophydont which means no baby teeth and they have only one set of teeth throught their life. total 16 teeth out of which 4 is open root incisiors.
