Bigger animals' hearts beat slower, I think.

The heart rate of a giraffe is estimated to be 65 beats per minute as compared to a human which is 60 beats per minute on average. This is due to that fact that a giraffe has to pump more oxygen to reach its brain.

Bigger animals' hearts do tend to beat slower but girraffes has a hear rate that is close to human! Around 65 beats per minutes that is.
