You can transfer saved AOL mail to a new computer by either backing it up to a blank data disk or recovering it by signing in on your new computer.

You can always open your AOL mail account on any computer that has an online connection unless you have already deleted the messages in your account.

Opening AOL e-mail with the new computer only goes back a little way. I have YEARS of old email that's stored on my old hard drive. It doesn't save to anything. :(  add a comment

AOL is web-based emailed and you do no need to transfer it to a new computer unless you are using outlook. Just boot up your new computer to aol. com and log into your account, all of your email will still be there waiting for you, if you are using outlook use the backup function available at Microsoft.

Your mails are stored on the server. You can access them once you set up your account on your new computer. But its kept for a period of time. If you have old mail downloaded to a folder within the AOL program, you will need to save that.

First we should asses and make setup of mail in our new computer and store the mail on the server. Then we keep it for some more minutes. Old mail downloaded in folder through the AOL program. Then we have to save it for transfer purpose. By using this method we can saved mail to new computer.

AOL's online servers automatically back up and save emails from their end. All you would have to do is simply login and it should be there.

Need more info. Are you referring to AOL Webmail or AOL Email using AOL Software (yes, many folks still use it). Many use the option to "Save All Read or Sent Mail on my PC". Which are you using?

Refer to AOL's help sites on how to save your email as a PFC file and export it to a place on your hard drive. You can use a flash drive or some other media to move it to the new computer and import the PFC file.

Make sure you save your AOL saved mail onto a gmail account if you have one. That way when you get to your new computer you can store it.
