Call 1-888-265-8008 and go through the voice menus. Be ready to wait awhile, AOL is infamous for dickering around and delaying. You can also send them a written notice by faxing them at 703-433-7283. Give your full name, phone number, address and signature, and the last four digits of the current payment method. Good luck!

You will not be able to delete your primary screen name but other screen names can be deleted with the help of Account settings option, where you can find "Delete a screen name". The only working way to cancel aol account is to call 1-888-265-8008 and say "Cancellation" and continue with the attendant.
