How can I tell if the bone I found is a human bone?

If you honestly suspect that you found a human bone, you need to turn it over to the police immediately.

If you can get your hands on some skeletons, something that would be available in a science class room. If now there are many anatomy webpages that offer pictures and measurements for certain bones of different species. The quickest and easiest round would be to take it to your local college and ask the anatomy professor.
