How can I tell if green shingles will look good on my house?

Most shingles suppliers will have sample pieces that you can bring home and compare with the exterior color scheme on your house. Sometimes the supplier may have a computer simulation that will allow you to compare your proposed shingle color with the existing colors. Of course, you may wish to seek the opinion of others regarding the color scheme.

If you have a digital camera, take a picture of your house from far enough away where you can get a good view of the roof. Download the image to your computer, then photoshop in the shade of green color that you are considering using for the shingles, and see how it looks.

You can take a picture of your house and then use photoshop and make the roof green. You could also just paint your current shingles green but I guess you don't like that idea.

My recommendation is to get a sample of the green shingle you would like to potentially place on your house and put it on or near the roof in a spot where you can see it. Then evaluate the appearance and ask friends to evaluate also!

Green shingles if fixed on the roof of the house look very attractive, charming and pleasing to the eyes. These would add to the natural beauty of the house. Everybody passing through the street may pause for a moment and look towards the shining shingles when the rays of the sun would fall on them.
