Take a step back. Try to accept that things you can't control in life are just that, and allow them to happen without question. Don't ask 'Why me?', instead ask, 'Why not me?'. Think about the reactions you'd want from your own friends, think about how you'd like to be thought of. Be that person.

You could try meditation. This activity can help you to relax in general and strengthen the mind over the long term. It will make you capable of becoming more resilient to stress and realizing there is something greater than the self and help rid of selfishness.

Drama queens are typically known for overreacting when something happens. When something upsets you, stop and count to ten. Take deep breaths and think of why the person upsetting you may have acted like they did. Try to see things from their point of view. Most importantly, stay very calm!

I think first you should ask yourself if you should stop being a drama queen. If you are a naturally dramatic person, you could become neurotic if you stop.
