Turning the knob on the washing maching when it is broken is hard. I used plyers until I got the chance to order a replacement knob using the manufacturers item number found in my user guide. I removed the prongs and the new knob just snapped on.
Replacement knobs are available at appliance repair outlets or even hardware shops. If you aren't fuzzy on matching the others, you can use a lid from a cream or other products. Plastic wrap can be used to secure the knob for a tight fit.
remove the control knob, push on the timer knob and turn knob counter clockwise.it should unscrew itself.it does not,the shaft inside the timer has broken and the shaft simply free wheels
