I also would suggest that you see the dishwasher work before you purchased it. Older model dishwasher parts are expensive or sometimes hard to find.

You should check the product number on the back of the unit. Once you have the product number, just google that number to find out when that particular model was manufactured. Some models will be made over several years, but it should give you a good idea about how old it is.
