In one hand, melt the wax with a hair dryer on high heat. Use your dominate hand to gently scrape the wax off the floor with a flat edged paint scraper. Since you need to be careful to not squish the wax back onto the floor with the heel of your hand, sweep away the pieces as they come up.

Pour hot, boiling water directly on the wax, that will melt it. Then wipe off the water with a cloth.
