Keema is a dish made with ground lamb cooked with curry spices and baby green peas. The meat is first cooked until brown. Separately, chopped onions, garlic, ginger and chillies are fried in oil until brown and mixed with spices. Add the meat to this mixture with yogurt and peas. Cook for 15–20 minutes in a covered pot.

Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Add onions . Add Garlic, Ginger and red chilli, Add lamb. Add Turmeric Powder,Cumin Powder: 1 teaspoon,Coriander,Cinnamon,Cloves-6,Black Cardamom,Black Peppercorn, red chilli powder, Salt- ½ teaspoon or to taste. Add Tomato. Add water.

Sauté onion in oil. Add garlic, ginger, curry, turmeric, coriander, cumin and lamb. When meat is browned, add tomatoes, lime juice, sugar, red pepper. Simmer 30 minutes. Serve over rice.

Keema or Khema is a India recipe of ground or minced meat. There are many videos and recipes on the internet. You can use any meat that you can grind or mince. There is also a vegetarian version. I have tried this and it is very good with ground chicken.

Keema, Kheema, or Qeema: Boil or fry minced- lamb or goat until brown. Then fry chopped onions, garlic, ginger, & green chillies in butter/ghee, until onions turn golden brown. Add bay leaves, cinnamon, & cloves; Mix in browned meat; Add matar/peas and/or potatoes; Cook for 15 to 20 minutes in a covered pot or pressure cooker.

Keema is nothing but the finely chopped mutton or lamb meat. To make this,you need bone less mutton cut in to small pieces and just put them in blender and blend it for a couple of minutes or you can chop meat using a heavy knife and make it in to keema.
