Use strips of plaster gauze, soaked in water first. Place them on your face, layering for strength (leave breathing holes), and let dry.

Cover you face in petroleum jelly, then cover it in newspaper strips soaked in water and corn starch. Let it dry and paint it.

One of the easiest methods is with plaster bandages, either medical or craft type. Put vaseline on your face. Soak plastic bandages and have someone mold it mold to your face, leaving eye and nostril openings. Let sit until firm and lift off when dry. Gesso the mask, let dry, and it is ready to decorate.
