Create a large base, attach a large, heavy spring. On one side of base attach an arm on a hinge. To the arm attach a rope, pull back on spring.

Well if you get your hands on a siege kit you can pretty much build any top of catapult. You can also use popsicle sticks and stack them on top of another.

Well, you can make one out of popsicles. Just be sure to glue them all in the proper angles and areas one top of another.

Take a stick, two wheels, a flat 4x4'' board, a spoon, and a handful of nails. Attach the wheels to the board, the spoon to the stick, and the stick to the board. There you go! Now you have a catapult.

Catapults evolved from crossbows into several-variations: Ballistas, Onagers, Mangonel, & Trebuchets Catapults throw projectiles using either a bow-like or swinging-arm/leg mechanism. A crank/windlass tensions a bow or applies torsion-tension(turning) to a rope, this stored-energy is dramatically/suddenly released by a quick-release mechanism, thus hurling the projectile with great force/speed. You can use: rubber-band-bow-string, paper-clip-quick-release, thread/spool-windlass.
