How can I learn to write the Japanese letters?

There are lots of options to learn to write Japanese letters. You could search the internet for a digital course, also you could visit you local library and find a book about Japanese writing. Another option would be to find a tutor that already knows how to write in japanes.

I would think that maybe flash cards would help me a lot. Also maybe having a Japanese tutor would help too. I know it would take much studying to achieve.

Practice is the best way to learn Japanese letters. It is not always a question of just copying the figures. You want to learn the order that the different strokes should be done in, especially with the more complicated kanji.

Buy a book that instructs you step by step. Join an online forum or blog that will allow you to network with other Japanese natives or others that are learning.
