There is no fast, easy way to learn the specifics of any languages, especially as a second language. It takes time, effort and commitment.

The cyrillic alphabet is very close to the Roman alphabet and thus relatively easy to learn. Have a look at the transcription tables at the "Library of Congress" homepage. It contains .pdf-files for transcription standards of both the Cyrillc alphabet as such as well as Bulgarian varieties.

Yes, I would recommend going online and doing some research to find a Bulgarian translator. You could also possibly just go to your local library to find it.

When I was trying to learn the Cyrillic alphabet to study Mongolian, the thing that helped me the most was making fake "translations" of English words where I converted each letter into Cyrillic. Dog becomes ДОГ, etc. It's a great way to practice.
