How long has he been potty trained? It may be related. Are there problems at school that might make him uncomfortable using the school facilities? When was his last physical exam? You should rule out any physical causes because you need to address kidney or bladder problems immediately. Talk to your son about it and schedule an exam. Good Luck!

Give him a lot to drink (not so much that it is bad for him) until he absolutely has to go.

It's very important he does this. Try bribing him, if he does not do that admit him into the hospital.
