How can I increase the cell phone signal in my house?

If you are not getting any signal at all anywhere in your house, there is nothing you can do about it until the company installs a tower closer to you. If you can find somewhere you can get even a little signal, you can buy a cell phone repeater or range extender which will strengthen the signal in your home.

This is a function of where your phone service's nearest tower is located and also if there is interference from mountains, etc. You may want to call your service provider. Once they get enough call from an area, they will fix it.

Try updating the programming on your phone, check the manual on how to do that. They recommend yo doing this every few months as the networks are updated regualarly. Also a signal booster sticker is very inexpensive and usually work.

I know you can use a cell antenna on your roof & get an adapter to plug into your phone from Wilson antenna.But why not plug th e roof ant. into a booster & be able to move around the house?

Some stores sell antennas to increase your signal but there is no guarantee they will work because if the signal coming from the tower is not strong enough it will not get through the walls of your house.

Look online for a cell signal amplifier. These help to boost a signal over the general area of your house. The come in different strengths depending on the distance you need to cover.

You first should contact your cell phone provider and see if they have any reasons to why there is limited signal in your house. Check out the areas in and around your house.
