You can try feeding a little greek yogurt every day, and make your own food. Rice, sweet potatoes, most veggies and a little minced meat- healthy, affordable, easy and YUMMY.

Allergic reactions in dogs can become fatal very fast if left untreated. If at anytime you suspect your dog is having an allergic reaction, call your veterinarian and let them know the symptoms the dog is having and they will let you know if you need to rush down to the emergency room.

The best thing to do is call your local vet and ask them are there any over the counter medicine that you can get for them.

Many dogs that seem to be allergic to something and have thinning hair are actually reacting to fleas. Check your dog closely looking at the base of the ears and the root of the tail as well as on the belly by the legs where the skin folds for signs of fleas. I would rule fleas out first.

If your dog has allergies as a result of food, you can 1) try changing food (probably something more expensive) until you find what works best. If that doesn't work, 2) Try human allergy medication. Typically, a dog half the human weight will take the same dosage as a human. If that fails, talk to your vet.

You might want to try changing their diet. Try boiling rice and ground turkey. Also, if your dog is really scratching, try giving them a benadryl but you might want to check with you vet first.
