First, clean all the areas that have been sprayed with an enzymatic cleaner so the cat won't smell the urine and keep marking them. Then use a pheromone product like Feliway around the areas to prevent spraying. If the cat isn't spayed or neutered, getting that done may also help.

If your cat is already neutered, and is still spraying, you should take him to a veterinarian to have his renal system checked for possible problems.

Have your vet check for certain physical causes, like a UTI, to treat. If that doesn't work, think about consistency. Cats need familiarity to feel comfortable and safe.
