You woudl need to contact the Malysian embassy or consulate in order to verify their criteria for a visa. Some countries limit visas except for work reasons or school.

To get a Malaysian visa, must first go to the Malaysian embassy where you apply for a Malaysian visa if you are a citizen of the United States of America,I think that you do not need a visa, but would best inform the Malaysian Embassy. However it is best to go to the nearest Malaysian embassy
