I use Google Maps to find things when I am traveling. Just go to Google Maps, type in your location, then "airport" to find the nearest airport.

You could call the local Chamber of Commerce. A lot of cities have an information phone number that can answer a stranger's questions. In some diners you can pick up an information guide of the city.
