Go directly to a website that provides a direct link to JAVA to download the application. Depending on the error you can also go into your internet browser's settings to enable downloads that may otherwise be blocked.

You have to allow the Java update client, your download manager or browser to get past the firewall. To do this, go to the Control Panel and click the Firewall applet. When the dialog appears, go to the Exceptions tab and check the boxes to the left of application name.

Try resetting all the options on internet explorer. It's under tools and internet options then go to advanced and hit restore advanced settings and delete browsing history. If that don't work, some program running on your pc is blocking the download. Start your computer in safe mode with internet available and dowload from there.

First, make sure your pop up blocker is off and that the download site is listed as a safe site. Secondly, go to a reputable download site. The location where you are getting the software may be blocked as a likely malicious or hacked version site. Go to the Java Sun website to get Java.

You need to look more closely at what the block message says. Are you being blocked by a firewall? Your computer's security software? The home servers?

Well, if you use firefox browser, then you can install the Java without any blocking messages by pressing the allow button. It all depends on the browser you use. Just make sure you have popups enabled.

First click on tools in your browser menu, find pop-up blocker, and then click turn off pop-up blocker. Then try to download java again.

Pop blockers won't cause that. The one thing that would block you from downloading it is your anti-virus program if you are trying to download a version that is not "clean". Make sure you go to the Sun system web site for the Java link. Also be sure that you are downloading the most current version.
