Downloading is very easy by connecting psp to the computer through usb cable and copying the song in the music directory or by downloading from net through wifi connection depending upon the models,old model psp does not have wifi newer version has it

you actually transfer your songs onto a memory stick from your computer. when you insert your memory stick (the one you use for PSP, of course), and make a folder there, call it "MUSIC". Then you can put any mp3 files or wma files there, and play it on your psp.

To download songs onto PSP you need to connect to the internet with the PSP and you need to go to PSN (Playstation Network). There you can choose your favorite songs and you can download them with the PSP. You can also connect your PSP with the PS3 and you can transfer the song from the PS3 to the PSN.

You just drag the songs from your computer onto the music folder on your memory stick. It could be located on /psp/music, or /music. I also think you can buy them from the play station store.

You can download the song by inserting the memory card in your computer or you can transfer song by data wire

Well if you are browsing online with it you can select the file and use the save option in the menu to save it. Otherwise you need to connect it to a pc and manually put the mp3 onto it under the music folder.
