How can I build a volcano for kids?

Basically you will make a volcano put in bicarbonate of soda and then add vinegar to cause a reaction. Red food coloring is used to make it look like lava.

Use cardboard As a base and construct the volcano from plaster of paris. Then pour baking soda into bottom of volcano once dry. Add water with red food coloring.

Use paper mache, which is newspaper dipped in a flour and water mixture. Paint the finished and dried volcano. Use alka seltzer, vinegar, food coloring for an eruption.
