We found great plans at home depot. We combined plans so we sort of made our own playset. We ordered all the suppliles through them and had everything delivered. Then we cut and built it ourselves. We saved a ton of money and have a very safe, unique and fun playset.

There are many websites out there that specifically deal with children's swing sets. In addition, all major home retailers (Home Depot, Rona, Loews, etc.), deal with kid's swing sets, and will be more than happy to instruct you on how you put them together. Most of these places sell them also.

Cedar Works has an interactive website which allows you to build your own play set. They even have an interactive walk through.

You can go to home depot and buy it a do it for yourself book that helps you build the swing set. This is actually very great for making your own set.

My husband John can create and build anything so he wants to build the swing set for our kids. We went to Lowes to find the plans for building the swing set. It will be made of mostly wood including the frame for the swing set.
