The best way is to start with 2 inch wide wooden slats. Nail these together in a criss-cross pattern to the desired width. Then screw it into the exterior walls.

Put a post in each corner and then ledger boards between the posts. Run joists on 4 foot centers between the ledgers and then lay on the 4x8 lattice sheet(s)
