Check the certification of the device and make sure there is paperwork to verify the device is working properly. The next attack is to ensure the police officer used it correctly. For example, did the officer target your vehicle for a long enough time to get an accurate reading. The device has a manual that must be followed ensuring accuracy.

You may be able to if you were not speeding and can support your claims. If you were speeding, pay up and suffer through Traffic School. The Court has "heard it all" so don't bother trying get over on anybody.

If the officer comes to court with solid evidence that you were indeed speeding beyond the limit odds are you will not be able to beat it.

You can try to discredit the officer who used of the laser gun, or the position he was in while he was using it. Most times it is better to tell the truth and negotiate with the officer on a lesser charge if possible. If you were speeding, the court has heard all the stories, you will not win.

Present the court with indisputable evidence that the measured speed is not accurate. This would be the only reason to argue the charge. If you were speeding, pay the fine and hope that there is a traffic school option to keep the points off your license.

You can contest it, and will win if the officer does not show up in court. However, laser do not need calibration like radar does, so your changes are slim.

Laser speeding tickets are impossible to beat, since modern technology is so far advanced that the puny devices of the potential scofflaw are defeated resoundingly. The only way that I have ever heard of is to use a high performance jet-assisted vehicle that flies past the laser installation at approximately 200 mph.

Be familiar with state/local moving violation and traffic citation statutes. When stopped and after being told the reason, ask officer if he would be willing to write you for a reduced cited statute - give you a break on your speeding ticket. Laser could be malfunctioning, Mountings on the windshield will differ in "mileage" than the dash-mount models.

Alot of the time the officer that issued the ticket will have more pressing business than attending court to testify the machine was working correctly.

Look up law's text under which you were cited. Take pictures, and produce diagrams of the area where you received the ticket; including other-traffic (in both-directions). Request a pre-trial conference with the prosecution, you or your-attorney argue your-side of the situation with the prosecution, ask what it would take to settle it. In large-jurisdictions, 50% chance officer misses court.

It is hard to beat a laser speeding ticket because cops have proof on the meter that you were speeding. You can get a traffic ticket lawyer if you'd like.

1. Say "yes Officer, no Officer" to everything. 2. Act stupid. 3. Act scared! As if the tickets means the end of your life! 4. Act ignorant about what you did. Even if they give you a ticket at least you didn't admit you were speeding, which they will use in court against you later.
