How big are Anacondas?

They can grow to approximately 35' and can get as big around as a man's body. The largest one every measured was 28" long and had a 44" girth.

When they are younger they are quite small, but they really dont stay small for too long. I wouldnt suggest keeping one for a pet because they can turn on you at anytime. And if you have childrean then definently do not have one as a pet.

I know they get really big. I don't think that I would keep them as pets. I would be scared of the thing killing me. If you want a pet snake I would go with one that doesn't get very big and no teeth. This would be a lot safer.
