The has been so many brake problems coming from squeaking, grabbing, rear tire lock. Check your brake pads and rotate you rotors to see if that helps with the problem if not then you need to take it in to the shop and have them look at it.

I have experienced rotor warp while towing my boat. This has required getting the rotors turned 3 times per year even though the brake pads are still in good condition.

I have a 2005 Ford Ranger, which ran very well for about a year and a half. Just recently in the past two weeks, it has begun to have a problem with squeaky brakes. Maybe the problem with your 2003 Ranger is very similar. I plan on taking it in to get the brakes checked soon.

I am having some serious brake issues. During normal braking, my rear wheels just lock up. The brakes grabbed when they were the slightest bit damp.
