It was only the early Ford 4.2 Litre engines that were recalled. These were the engines built before January 15, 1998.

The Ford 4.2L V6 did have a recall on them because of a gasket failure on the timing cover, but it has already expired.

you will have to be a bit more specific with the model and year of the vehicle. The easiest way to find out would be to call your local ford dealer with the VIN (vehicle identification number) and ask if there are any recalls still open on it.

I did a little research and i did not see anything regarding a recall on a Ford 4.2 l. IF you're experiencing a certain type of problem in particular like engine or transmission related i would suggest that you re post with a description of it. Hope this helps, cheers.
