Because an LG refrigerator stop making ice, there isnt any recalls. However if your refrigerator is still under warranty period, ask for part replacement. Do check the temperature settings beforehand.

There has indeed been a recall on LG refrigerators, although it isn't about the ice maker. A faulty component in the condenser fan motor can short circuit.

The best thing to do is to Google LG Refrigerator Ice Makers and see if they list a recall. Or go to Google and type in recall on LG Refrigerators and see that comes up. Check your owners manual under troubleshooting.

There is no such recall or reset on LG refrigerators. The problem you specified may be due to the thermostat problem or refrigerant gas leakage from your refrigerator. Last chance is you may have changed your temperature knob to low which may prevent it from making ice. It is better to consult a professional to spot out the problem.

In two years old LG Refrigerators there won't be any recalls so the process hinderance of making ice could not prevented.
