For a root canal, do I go to a dentist or an endodontist?

An endodontist is a dentist who has done further study in his /her field to become an endodontist. Therefore if you want to have your root canal done by the person who specialises in them your choice would be the endodontist. That is not to say that a dentist does't have the skills or knowledge to do a good job

You should go to your regular dentist. Ask him if he is comfortable doing root canals. Also ask him if he thinks your rootcanal would possible be a difficult one. If it is he will probably refer you out to a endodontist.

A simple basic root canal can be done by a dentist. An endodonist knows how but they are more for trouble some root canals.

Dentists and endodontists can perform root canals. However, endodontists may be able to perform tough root canals that some dentists can't; going straight to an endodontist may eliminate a step.

An endodontist knows the most about root canals. They perform root canals more often than denstists. A dentist can start a root canal, but not completely finish it. The endodontist is the better choice.

For a root canal, dentists will refer you to an endodontist. Endodontists basically do this procedure everyday,so they can do it faster and easier.

You go to your regular dentist. Since a root canal isn't an elaborate procedure where you need to be put under he can do it. Don't worry. He will know a ton about root canals. Dentists do plenty of them. It's quite common to have these done so they do quite a few in a week.

Most of the people are great sufferer for root canal. For this treatment we should go to a dentist. This treatment process is very painful and it takes long time.
