"Pure" H2O is colorless-transparent, odorless, TASTELESS, & 7.0 "room temperature" pH.
Disolved impurities can affect both water's pH & taste.
Generally, pH < 7 acids/corrosives have a bitter-metallic taste;
and pH > 7 bases have a slippery-feel & a "soda" taste.
Yet, (2) different-pH waters can taste the same;
and (2) same-tasting waters can have different pHs.
