"Pure" H2O is colorless-transparent, odorless, TASTELESS, & 7.0 "room temperature" pH. Disolved impurities can affect both water's pH & taste. Generally, pH < 7 acids/corrosives have a bitter-metallic taste; and pH > 7 bases have a slippery-feel & a "soda" taste. Yet, (2) different-pH waters can taste the same; and (2) same-tasting waters can have different pHs.

the flavor of water is a result of many factors. One factor is mineral content, another factor is ph balance. Ph balance is the measurment of acidity in the water.
