Opti-Smooth has a reputation for being a great product. Be sure to do the hair test first. You have to remember that you don't shampoo this out of your hair and you don't want a bad reaction.
The Opti-Smooth relaxer does a great job. However, there is something you need to remember. Opti-Smooth works quite awhile longer in your hair than any other brands because it was made to grow out of your hair instead of simply being able to shampoo out of it.
It works as well as any other, however follow the directions, and make sure you do the test to see how the product works on your hair first. You don't want to try any new relaxer without taking the time to respect your hair enough to test it.

Yes it does. It is great for either a cold wave (calming and smoothing curls instead of getting rid of them), or straightening the hair completely. Be prepared though- this is not a short endeavor. If you go to a salon expect to be there for four or more hours in some instances.
