Of course it can. As long as both parties are okay with it, and can set up a schedule which works for them, there is no reason it can't, as long as both people are committed (like any relationship).

They can, but it takes understanding and work from both partners. The retired one needs to realize and remember the time and effort that a job requires, and not make unrealistic requirements for the working person. The one with a job, on the other hand, needs to be aware that their partner has free time and not be jealous.

It can work out just fine. You will probably have to date around the person's schedule who is working but it will work out just fine.

This type of relationship is possible to work, as long as both people involved are willing to commit to making it work. The one person who is retired should be responsible for more of the household chores.
