Medicare does not usually cover any type of hearing aids but if you have an injury to your ear that requires it then it may be covered for you.

Medicare Part B covers 80% of the cost of a hearing aid, and you have to be 30% or more deaf in that ear. If you need full coverage, then you will have to file for Part c and/or a supplemental insurance policy, such as AARP or Medlife.

Medicare should cover hearing aids. You should discuss with your local medical group to fully insure that your Medicare covers hearing aids. You would also need to get a doctor to check your hearing.

You have to go to a hearing aid center and have your hearing tested first. After having the test, the results will be sent to Medicare and they will let you know if they will cover the cost of buying a hearing aid. If they don't cover all of it, they might cover it partially.

In general Medicare does not cover hearing aids of any type. If you have hearing loss due to a disease or a specific injury then Medicare may cover part of your expenses. Your doctor would have to talk to you and explain to you whether or not Medicare would be able to cover you.
