No, Capital Punishment was abolished in Germany. Article 102 of their Basic Law, adopted in 1949, reads "The death penalty is abolished." [Art. 102 GG: "Die Todesstrafe ist abgeschafft"] Many people believe this is because the Germans wanted to show their seperation from the Nazi state-sponsored killings, the last of which was in 1949.
