Magnetic Poetry was the brain child of Dave Kapell. A songwriter with writer's block, he glued inspirational words to magnets and started playing with them looking for a song. Instead, he realized he had a great product. The kits are still sold online and in stores and many are now geared to niche groups, such as romance or children.

You can find magnetic poetry words in bookstores as well as stores that specialize in stationary and paper goods. There is a magnetic poetry calendar that can be ordered online or purchased where calendars are sold. You can also make your own by printing words and gluing them on magnets.
