I think the answer is yes, but it is for an interesting reason. When you are tired, your faculties for restraint are diminished, and therefore you can't stop yourself from overeating as easily as when you are wide awake.

In my experience, the answer isn't very straightforward... when I am super tired, then all I want to do is sleep; I have absolutely no interest in food... but when I am only a little bit tired, then food often sounds appealing.

Research has found no evidence that night eating causes more weight gain than day-eating. (Look it up from medical journal sources) BUT, people usually underestimate how many calories they eat at night, which can obviously cause weight gain if you have already eaten enough by 6pm.

People generally crave carbohyrates when they are fatiqued. It's the body's natural response to its need for quick fuel. Just eat slowly so your brain "feels" how full you are before you binge. the "i'm still hungry!" feeling takes 10-15 minutes to stop screaming once your belly is full enough.

The relationship between energy level and appetite on a person to person basis. For some people, being bored or tired will cause them to eat more. For others, if they are tired, they won't have the energy to eat.

The center of your brain that regulates hunger also regulates the need for sleep and sex. If you don't satisfy one (enough sleep), you'll definitely want one of the other two. Generally hunger wins.

Yes I think there is some connection with it, generally I eat more when I work a lot and get tired. Maybe I don't get hungry otherwise because I don't move too much.

I generally eat more when I am tired because I feel very hungry at that time. But with this single instance one cannot think that there is always a connection between being tired and your appetite. Better to consult the doctor.
