LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is simply one of many technologies which TV manufacturers use to create a picture. LCD is available in both HD and non HD forms. LCD TV's are still readily available from high street stores and online,along with other technology's such as Plasma, LED and rear projection.

Yes they do. There are two different types of HD televisions. The LCD which and the plasma. The plasma works best for watching sports since the coloring is more to true to real life. The LCDs are still nice televisions and they tend to have decent picture, and are usually a little smaller.
