Why does my LCD television have sound but no picture?

The most likely cause of this problem is a bad cable powering your screen. Take it to a repair shop to eb fixed.

It sounds like the wires connecting the sound are plugged in but the wires connecting the video from the cable box to the television have come loose.

Did you check the cables to your tv? Maybe the audio cables have come loose from either the tv or what ever you are using to watch something like a DVR or a console, etc. Either that, or something happened to the screen.

most likely the backlight on your television has broken. It is usually not worth it to fix this unless you have a warranty.

There could be two major issues plaguing the television. Either the motherboard inside of the TV is defective. Or, the LCD has gone bad.
