Squeaky floors don't hurt anything, they are just annoying. To stop the squeak, put screws through the floor joist into the floor where it squeaks.

No it is the nail working up and the sheeting is moving up and down, when ever up put new flooring down it can be fixed by renailing the sheeting,Flooring companys will usally fix it for you if the won,t find one that will or plan on renailing it yourself.

Nothing besides driving you crazy. It usually results from a lose nail or floor board. Not much you can do with out damaging finished floor.
