Nipple piercins are among the safer piercings and they are not frequently infected. People tend to play with mouth piercings like lip and tongue a lot, so they get infected quite a bit. Most people don't play with their nipple piercings all day long, and so they stay relatively clean.

Not any easier than others. Proper care and cleaning is the key to keep the infection away. I find it is best to clean them with saline solution the kind you get for contacts is the best thing to use. Put it in a shot glass and hold it over the piercing for 10 mins. twice a day.
