Yes, fish do sleep, but since they have no eyelids they appear awake all the time to us. Their sleeping brainwave pattern is different from ours, but they do go into a state of rest and rejuvenation that is required for all animals in nature to stay healthy. A fish is usually sleeping when it remains still and inactive.

Yes, fish also sleep like human, birds, mammals and animals. Many fish "rest" or "sleep" during the day and are active at night instead, but almost all fish sleep. sleep is necessary to gain healthy brain and body. Fishes sleep with their eye open since they do not have eyelids and sleep duration will be very short.
