Do Beagles shed a lot?

Beegles do shed a lot, but because they are short haired it is not as noticable as if it were a long haired dog such as a Golden Retreiver.

My family has owned a beagle for many years and he barely sheds. He only began to shed when he started to reach 15 years old. I am allergic to animal dander and never had any reactions because of my beagle shedding.
