There are some services that let you purchase pre-paid legal counsel. These services then have a pool of attorneys to which you would be referred as needed. Before you purchase such a plan, research it carefully. There have been several lawsuits claiming fraud with regard to these plans.

Often an attorney charges a retainer, an upfront amount that covers a certain amount of work- stay on top of this though! Billable hours add up RAPIDLY. Negotiate.

There are attorney's who offer prepaid services, you'll have to call around. There is also a company that operates in some states that allows you to do the same thing.
